Joined USN December 1982. Bootcamp:San Diego, CA. Qualified Enlisted Submariner (1983-1988). Two USSR Combat Patrols (SSN-707/USS Portsmouth); Assigned USS Exploit (MSO-440). USS Exploit saved Samuel B. Roberts from sinking in minefield, 1st Gulf War. Consequently, I was meritoriously (Command) promoted to EM1/SS (nuke/NEC3354) for leading effective consolidated crew training to fight the ship. Assigned Special Congressional Projects/Congressional Cargo Afloat Rigging Team (CART-202) as lead engineer on joint underway replenishment at sea. Upon conviction at courts-martial after putting down mutiny, was invited into Naval Special Warfare Development Group (NSWDG) Mobile Inshore Undersea Warfare (Ghost) Unit-202/Sea, Air, Land Unit (SEAL2/DET2)/Inshore Boat Unit (IBU)21, and of course, our irreplaceable SEABEES & Medic. "DEVGRU Squadron; Qualified Special Operator (call sign "Lynchpin"); which became the 1st combat operational "DEVGRU/SEAL6" team (1999). There were 14 prototype R&D squadrons at the time. None had ever qualified. January 2000 transferred to US Army Military Police FT. Devons, MA. Served 17 years, 4 months as SSG/Platoon Leader of Military Police detachments protecting Military Intelligence Assets. Eventually transferred to FT Meade, MD, assigned as Non-Commissioned Officer in Charge of US Army 325th Military Intelligence Counter Intelligence Agents; medically retired 2016; Totally (service-connected) disabled (War Injuries/IED Iraq 2004-2 tours 2003-2005).
